2. Why does KALME Day Defence use mineral SPF rather than chemical SPF?

Chemical UV filters such as avobenzone and oxybenzone are common rosacea triggers. They absorb UV rays and convert them to heat within the skin, which can cause flushing and flare-ups in reactive skin. KALME Day Defence uses zinc oxide, a pure mineral sunscreen that sits on the surface of the skin and physically reflects UV rays without generating heat. This makes it significantly better tolerated by rosacea-prone and sensitive skin.

3. Will KALME Day Defence leave a white cast?
