Videos help people diagnose their skin conditions more successfully

New research has found that videoed consultancies with dermatologists results in more accurate diagnosis of skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. Skin conditions are one of the most misdiognosed health conditions by GP's. However dermatologists are notoriously hard to get an appointment with, especially in the UK, and patients often have to get a referral from their GP and then wait several weeks to see one, by which time the skin condition might have changed or got worse. However video conferences with on-line dermatologists could be the new-age answer to more successful diagnosis of skin conditions, which account for 1 in 10 of visits to GP’s.
